PrimitiveMammyStringHolder This is a vintage pattern from the 1890's. It is made from muslin and is a string holder. She has been painted, sanded, baked and stained for the look of olde. Her facial features are pieced on by hand. Her mouth is where the string comes out. She is flat now but you put the string in the back of her and then she will fill out. Great useful item! She wears a cute floral dress in yellows, golds and whites. Around her neck is a watermelon necklace with hand-embroidered black seeds. It is attached with rusty wire around her neck.
